International shearers gain wealth of experience from former champs

International shearers have been soaking up the experience in the first day of a training session at Mount Linton Station, a former champion says.

Shearers from 32 countries spent time learning from top Kiwi shearers in the lead up to the World Shearing and Woolhandling Championships.

The two-day training session is being held at Mount Linton Station, in Western Southland, on Wednesday and Thursday.
